Unlike commercially produced replicas created from moulds, because each pendant in this collection begins as an individual hand-carved wax sculpture, it allows the piece to retain the character and subtle variation of traditional craftsmanship while remaining faithful to the archaeological source material.

As part of the finishing process, you can choose the appearance of your pendant:
Natural Silver Finish : A natural matt sterling silver finish that preserves the tactile character of the hand-sculpted detail. Over time, the surface will naturally evolve, developing a subtle patina through handling and exposure. This gradual ageing process gives each pendant its own unique character.
Antiqued Viking Finish – To bring the multi-layered depth of the gripping beast to life, we can apply a dark, antiqued patina to the deep recesses of the design, creating a striking contrast against the lighter silver highlights. The oxidised recesses enhance the carved features, giving the pendant the appearance of an aged archaeological artefact.
Your chosen finish is applied specifically to your pendant during production, making each piece uniquely yours.
