Steps To Take - The Custom Jewellery Process
A SilverfireUK bespoke jewellery commission will usually consist of the following steps:
1. Initial Contact & Design Ideas
Your bespoke journey begins the moment you share your vision with us. We will chat via email to clarify your requirements, answer your questions, and map out your creative ideas. Unless you already have a fully fledged design ready, we will finalise all the fine details together during step three.
To take the first step, simply complete our Custom Jewellery Enquiry Form below. This form contains extra helpful information regarding our artisan process and potential project costs.
2. Cost Estimate & Secure Payment
Using the specific details from your enquiry, we will calculate a comprehensive cost estimate and provide an estimated timeframe for your commission. Once you accept the quote and submit your payment, your project enters our active workshop queue. We then move swiftly into stage three - the design, sketching, and sculpting process.
3. Jewellery Design & Visual Concepts
Every piece of custom made jewellery deserves a flawless blueprint. We will explore your options, symbols, and concepts using a mix of traditional hand-drawn sketches or computer-generated designs. If your piece requires complex, dimensional elements, such as intricate Pagan, Gothic, or Celtic iconography we may also create an initial mock-up physical wax sculpt. Your final approval is always required before we move to the forge.
4. Handmade Jewellery Production
Once you approve the design visual, the raw making begins. Our workshop will meticulously hand-forge and polish your bespoke jewellery in premium sterling silver or gold, or any other chosen precious metal, ensuring it is built to carry its protective meaning for a lifetime.
Understanding the Cost of Custom Jewellery
Calculating the cost of a unique talisman depends on a few distinct factors. The price of your commission reflects the specific precious metals used, specialised workshop tools required, and the intricate design time involved. Because everything is carefully handcrafted by an artisan rather than mass-produced in a factory, the labor and time required to perfect the piece are the most significant factors.
